August kept me busy! Here are the highlights:
Working from most recent to earlier, I decided to share the way I ask for more money when a freelance gig is quoted too low. There’s no guarantee but if you ask, it could end up as a win-win for everyone involved.
How about a rewatch of one of the pilots for the most talked about broadcast dramas ever? I went back and watched the Lost pilot (the entire series is on Netflix) and shared my thoughts.

Next up, I had just wrapped up 3 months of Thai language beginners class (I start the intermediate class this Monday!) so here’s me counting to 20!

Boyd and I continued our love for BL dramas by rewatching Moonlight Chicken, one of our favorites starring Pirapat Watthanasetsiri (Earthe) and Sahaphap Wongratch (Mixx) which I wrote about earlier this year. Then we started a new comedy/drama entry we’re enjoying called Wandee Goodday about a boxer and a doctor who fall in love. It stars Sapol Assawamunkong (Great) and Sarin Ronnakiat (Inn) and is sexier than a lot of the younger-skewing dramas. Here’s the trailer:

In the blast from the past category, I first met Jeff Wachtel when I was answering phones in Los Angeles as an executive assistant at Sony in the late 1990s so talking to him again for Emmy Magazine was such a treat. Here we look back on his impressive TV career.

Next, the Paramount+’s drama Mayor of Kingstown delivered big on its third season finale. Only read this post-mortem I did for Variety once you’ve watched since A LOT happened!

I think it would be a good story to bring back that thug that had Kyle's wife, Tracy up against her car. Just saying.
