Did LaLisa Manobal Like Watching Herself in 'The White Lotus' Episodes?
LaLisa and co-star Tayme Thapthimthong also talked about the importance of Thai actors appearing in the Thailand-set third season and their characters's possible romance.
Could Mook (LaLisa Manobal) and Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) end up as The White Lotus super couple for season 3? That, like so many other things, remains to be seen as the episodes continue to roll out but after three episodes, we can see that the longtime friends do care for each other and Mook is at least open to going on a date with the earnest security guard to maybe see where things go.
All that depends on if either of them make it out of season 3 alive since we’ve already seen Gaitok take a blow to the head in the second episode after he unsuccessfully tried to stop the masked robber of the hotel store. When we last saw him, he was being told that he would have a meeting the next morning at work about the incident and his part in it.
During the recent Bangkok press junket, I was able to talk to members of the cast including Manobal and Thapthimthong about the new season. The pair clearly got close during filming with LaLisa even helping Tayme with his very specific Thai dialect. They also talked about having authentic Thai actors in the show’s season, which shot last year in Thailand.
